In addition to being so close to Malibu’s best sandy beaches, residents here can walk to the Trancas Country Market and are a minute’s drive from schools in Malibu Park and Point Dume Village. One of the main draws of Malibu West is it’s proximity to amenities.

There is also a condominium complex on Tapia Drive that offers Malibu’s most affordable housing with beach rights. Many of these properties boast stunning ocean views of Zuma Beach and Point Dume. The other part of Malibu West follows Trancas Canyon Road away from Pacific Coast Highway. Additionally, many of these homes enjoy peaceful mountain and canyon views. There is plentiful stop signs, speed bumps, sidewalks, beautiful trees, and a guarded gate that is manned seasonally. The canyon area of Malibu West is one of Malibu’s most family-friendly zones. 30600 Las Estrellas Drive | One of the few-two story homes in Malibu West | Leased by The Mark & Grether Group representing the landlord Located off of Trancas Canyon Road, the majority of the homes are situated in Trancas Canyon which is accessed by taking a right on Principio. Malibu West is hidden from Pacific Coast Highway but remains within easy walking distance to the beach and Trancas Country Market. Though most of the original homes have been remodeled, they remain mostly single-level ranch and mid-century style homes. Most of the homes in Malibu West were originally designed by architects Nisan Matlin and Eugene Dvoretzky. This highly desirable neighborhood is best known for its family-friendly feel, stunning single-level ranch homes, and Malibu West Beach Club rights. Rune, for example, last appeared in 2004's Thanos #3 by Jim Starlin and Al Milgrom when his corpse was shown on panel.Just west of Zuma beach on Malibu’s landside, the neighborhood of Malibu West is one of Malibu’s hidden gems. Nemesis was barely seen or heard from again, the Ego Gem made a couple of sporadic appearances, and Malibu's other characters were used sparsely. After what seemed like a promising development with the merger of the two universes, the whole thing was rendered somewhat anti-climactic. The creation of Nemesis and the reveal of a seventh Infinity Gem would undoubtedly be the biggest events to come out of Marvel's purchase of Malibu Comics, but Marvel ceased publication of all things Malibu-related in 1996. and Wyman before reappearing in UltraForce /Avengers by Warren Ellis, George Pérez, and Larry Welch, the latter of which would see the combined efforts of UltraForce and the Avengers split Nemesis into seven Gems once more. While neither team definitively lost, the Grandmaste r conceded after admitting he didn't definitively win either, the reveal of the Ego Gem resulted in something nobody had previously realized: when combined, the Infinity Gems were actually a powerful cosmic being called Nemesis who, upon the reunion of all seven, reformed on the final pages of Avengers/UltraForce by Glenn Herdling, Angel Medina, M.C. If the Avengers won, the Grandmaster would tell Loki the Ego Gem's location. If Ultraforce won, Loki would give the Mind Gem to the Grandmaster.

With the Avengers representing the Elder of the Universe and Ultraforce representing the God of Mischief, a series of fights would take place. The Grandmaster then informed Loki of the existence of a seventh Gem, the Ego Gem, and challenged him to a contest. The two brands would crossover when the vampiric Rune, while in the Marvel Universe, had stolen the Infinity Gems, those powerful items so infamously wielded by the Mad Titan Thanos, from the Infinity Watch. The Gems were then dispersed in the Ultraverse upon Rune's defeat and Loki, who was in the Ultraverse at the time, got his hands on them. The quality of the subsequent Malibu titles was, at best, uneven, and sales continued to decrease, but the purchase did result in a series of interesting crossovers with Marvel characters - and Malibu's Ultraverse was given the designation "Earth-93060" in Marvel lore.
